The USA

Chicago, Illinois

Gran was born near a big city called Chicago which is on the shores of one of the Great Lakes

The Great Lakes

Actually the lake called Lake Michigan:

Can you see Chicago, down at the bottom of Lake Michigan?

What's Chicago Famous For?

Lots of things, but today we're going to talk about just three things.

The first thing we're going to talk about today is the baseball team called the Chicago Cubs, who play in a stadium called Wrigley Field.  This video gives you and idea of baseball:

Another thing that Chicago is famous for is its elevated railway, called the "L".

And the other thing you might enjoy is Millennium Park:

Millenium Park, The Cloudgate (known as The Bean)

Florida

But that's enough of Chicago, now we're going to Florida, where Gran's mom lived, and where Gran and Grampa lived every winter.  You can also ask your mummy about it, because she visited there, too.

Florida

It was in a place called Apopka.  Here's Gran's mummy's house.

If you look at this map, you'll see that the house was right on the edge of a gold course, and we often saw sand hill cranes and cardinals.

And now to the Everglades ...

The Everglades

And here's what the Everglades are most famous for.

Alligators

But there's more to the Everglades that alligators.  How many different animals and birds can you count in this video?

And did you know that the Go Jetters have been to the Everglades?  You can watch their programme here.

They see the spoonbills.  Watch them feeding here.

And there's a video about spoonbills ...

That's enough for now, but if you click the second page listed on the right, there are some projects for you to try out.
